Fourteams from Denmark will be traveling to the northern Spain, to participate in this year's edition of GameGune. I cought up with telli from yourname, and asked him about the upcoming event.
For those of our readers that do not know you, please introduce your team and yourself.I will be looking forward to see the team at GameGune. After beating aTTax at ESWC, I think they are hungry for more international success. Best of luck to them, and I'll make sure to shoot a few pictures of them down there. Drop by our coverage section for more goodies.
Hi! My name is Alexander Lundkvist, commonly known as telli, and I play for yourname (former Global Gaming) along with pzyclone, walth, woodi and bardi. I'm 17 years old and currently about to start my second year at high school.
You will be participating GameGune 2007 this weekend, how have you prepared for the event?
We've been bootcamping from the 14th through the 19th besides a lot of online pracc ofcourse. But we've been playing pretty intensely for the last month or so with ESWC and everything. I feel prepared!
Your former organization, did not quite deliver what they promised, it’s seen before, are you surprised or shocked in any way?
Well, I'd not say that I'm surprised, rather disappointed. But that just taught us always to get things in writing.
The team did well at the ESWC 2007 Finals, beating ALTERNATE aTTax 16-14. You unfortunately did not advance to the second group play, are you satisfied with the team performance?
Yeah I'm pretty satisfied, though I think we should have taken more rounds against Inari. But overall I think we are moving in the right direction.
Your team is quite new, this will be your second international event. Do you have more planned?
Well, I think we are going to WonderBase in late August, but I wouldn't call that an international event. Also we'd like to attend iSeries, but that depends if we can find a organization or sponsor.
Will this be a tournament much similar to ESWC regarding your final placement? Or is your team below or above that level of play?
I'm sure that we can go further than we did at ESWC. It was just bad luck we didn't advance from the first groupstage. This time we also got a much better seed!
Who will finish top3? Any special teams you consider most likely to fail?
Well, I think the top3 seedings is right, no doubt that Pentagram will win this event. But I don't think dignitas will reach their seed, neither will redCode (defusekids).
Your team is in group E, with SK, TBH.eSports, Highlight and defs. How do you consider your chances advancing to the brackets?
I'm confident that we'll either win the group or place second. A lot of people underestimate TBH.eSports though and I think that match might become harder than expected.
Four Danish teams will be participating at GameGune 2007. What is different from the last few years, and why are you participating?
Well, I don't really know what is different, besides the fact that Denmark is getting more and more teams with international potential or class.
What is your goal at GameGune 2007?
Second place - PGS is unbeatable. Jokes aside. We'd be happy to reach our seed and beat a couple of international topteams.
What are the 3 most important things you need in order perform well at GameGune 2007?
Luck, momentum and matt0W!!! :D
There are no more questions on my list. I would like to wish you the best of luck at GameGune 2007, and see you there. Any last wordsor shoutouts?
I'd like to thank my father, PerleN and NuGinak. Cya at GameGune :D
